About Lavoro

Lavoro Development, Inc., is the team of experienced professionals drawn together by Dan Eernissee to accomplish the needs of each project and the objectives of each investor.

Dan, the founder and president of Lavoro, has a wealth of experience in the development process. Since January 2000, Mr. Eernissee has lead the development, construction, and marketing of projects valued at over $300 million, largely for the Wakefield Properties group where he continues to provide contract services. Lavoro Development, Inc., was formed to build on the success experienced at Wakefield Properties in order to provide outstanding service to a broader circle of investors.

"Lavoro" is the Italian word for work or job, and was chosen as the moniker for the company for two reasons.

While studying at Regent College in Vancouver, B. C., Dan was mentored by Dr. Paul Stevens, and he captured the vision that each of us has three jobs to pursue full-time: vocation (what one typically calls "work"), building relationships and communities, and taking your appropriate place under the Creator. Surprisingly, one experiences burn out not when one has too many jobs, but when one has too few. Lavoro is a reminder that the work of creating wealth through real estate is a critical part of that equation.

Choosing an Italian word for the company was also intentional.  Lavoro is a homage to Dan's Italian wife Amy that modeled to him that we work to live, we don't live to work! It is our hope that Lavoro can incorporate the Italian love of life, or beauty, of wisdom, and of family in its projects.
