Christian Facility
Leadership
Given Dan Eernissee's
path which combined theological education, pastoral service, and real estate
development, he is in a unique position to help churches or other Christian
groups add to, remodel, or build new facilities.
The Christian
organization facilitation process involves three main areas: 1) Investigation,
where the scope of the project is defined in a way that fits the congregation's
needs & the resources available, 2) Planning, where the options are weighed and
the best plan is selected, and 3) Construction, where the actual physical plant
is constructed and put into use.
Investigation
- Gather
information from the congregation including the congregation's history,
worship style, polity, resources, facility use & needs
- Investigate zoning,
entitlement process, and neighborhood compliance
- Interview
congregational members and leaders
- Provide congregation
with on-going communication and reports
Planning
- Given the scope of
the project defined in the Investigation stage, options are developed with the
help of an architect
- Conduct necessary
testing that affects planning
- After more
congregational input, a preliminary plan and budget is developed
- Entitlement process
is launched and seen through completion
- Select a contractor
that is able to provide value engineering support
- Again, provide
congregation with on-going communication and reports
Construction
-
Receive demolition, grading, building and all other necessary permits
- Work with
jurisdiction & congregation to provide an operational plan during construction
- Daily
construction oversight and on-the-fly decision-making to achieve maximum value
- Provide budgetary tracking as
needed
- Oversee final punch list and
warranty follow-up
